Convenient

Each Emerald session takes a maximum of 30 minutes. That means you can make your Emerald laser appointment before or after work or during your lunch break. When you’re done, you can get dressed and resume your normal activities or even go exercise if you choose to.

The Emerald treatment is a quick, no-contact treatment.

You will be placed onto the treatment bed and the Emerald will be positioned over you. We will first find the most severe areas of subcutaneous fat (or cellulite) and use the laser to target the area, positioning the head about 10-15cm away from the skin.

Emerald is a relaxing treatment, so as soon as you are in position and the lasers have been positioned correctly, you are free to enjoy the peace and tranquility of doing nothing whilst the laser works away at your fat cells.

If you are opting for full body circumference reduction, the treatment will take 30 minutes. You will spend 15 minutes on your back, and then 15 minutes on your front. If you are spot-reducing a particular area only, the treatment will be 15 minutes per area.

The Emerald laser works as a natural alternative for fat loss by using non-thermal low level lasers to create a temporary pore in the fat cells, allowing the fatty liquids to seep out of the cell and be naturally flushed through your lymphatic system.

1) Harmless energy of light uses specific wavelengths to trigger a chemical reaction in the fat cell which then opens up small pores

2) Fatty liquids begin to drain out from the small pores in the fat cells and the fat cells begin to shrink

3) The body then deposits the fatty liquids through the lymphatic system

Emerald is FDA cleared for both spot fat reduction (targeting one particular area) as well as 'overall body circumference reduction' (treating the entire body), with an average body circumference loss of 6 inches.

The number of treatments that you will require will of course vary depending on the individual, your body goals, objectives, lifestyle, medical history and so on. This allows time for the lipids to drain from the cells.

On average, patients report seeing results around session 4, so you can expect to see results at around the 2 week mark if you have 2 sessions per week. However, some have seen improvements after the very first session, and it's worth noting that the results will continue to improve with each treatment.

The treatment is officially labelled as ‘non-temporary’ by the FDA, so as long as you lead a normal-to-healthy lifestyle, your results will continue. To give an example, if you consume 4000 calories per day, although you will lose inches during the Emerald treatments, you may quickly put those inches back on. We generally recommend that you promote small lifestyle changes along with your Emerald course, with the option of maintenance treatments if required.

When you book into the DrBK clinic an individual session of Emerald laser costs £400. However, if you book 10 sessions together, the price is £2,000. This equates to just £200 per session.

Emerald is developed with low level lasers meaning you won't face any downtime or negative side effects after your treatment. You will be free to resume your normal acitivies straight after each session.
